March 14, 2013 was the first time we've all been together for 25 years.
It was a fantastic evening, and raising funds for a great cause. Really!

Nearly 25 years ago, English mountaineer Stephen Venables teamed up with Robert Anderson and Ed Webster (USA) and Paul Teare (Canada) to climb a new route up the mighty Kangshung Face of Everest. Described by Reinhold Messner as "probably the most adventurous expedition in Everest's history." Venables made the first British ascent of Everest without oxygen. Lord John Hunt served as Patron Honorary Expedition Leader.
Just four climbers, no high altitude porters, no gas, finding this beautiful, improbable line up the mighty Kangshung Face. Professional Photographer Joseph Blackburn and a young Doctor Mimi Zieman were in support, along with our Nepalese cook, Pasang Norbu and Kasang Tsering, his Tibetan cook boy.
